Do I Know You From Somewhere?
By Laura Adkins

Do I know you from somewhere?
Have you been here before?
I know not what roused me,
but since you walked through that door
I just know that I know you;
but your name does elude.
You remind me of someone...
a man I once knew.

He had your complexion,
and your divoted chin,
your eyes spark as his did
each time he would grin.
Yes, that's just the smile!
With that elegant flair
of a debonair gentleman
from a breed so rare.

So what is your name, sir?
... No, that wasn't his.
But if you're not his twin
I would not know who is!
Say, would you like a drink, sir?
It might do you good.
Maybe I don't know you,
but I definitely should.
