Tell Me You're Taken
By Laura Adkins

Tell me you're taken,
let me down slow.
If you've got somebody,
then please let me know,
for I'm growing bolder
as the evenings get colder.
Love's warmth I desire;
I warm by your fire.

But you'll only scorch me
with those smoldering eyes;
if you're not flying solo,
then I need not apply.
Just tell me you're wedded
if that's where we're headed.
For your warmth I have yearned,
But I won't be burned.
